How we work

A clear path from first call to production — and beyond.

A staged, transparent process with something tangible at every step. You always know what we're building, why, and what it will cost.

The process

Five phases. No black boxes.

  1. 01

    Discover typically 1–2 weeks

We get to know your business, your systems and your data — and agree what success looks like in business terms, not technical ones.

    • Stakeholder interviews and goal setting
    • Audit of current systems, data sources and tooling
    • Quick-win and risk assessment
    You receive

A discovery report and a prioritized roadmap.

  2. 02

    Architect

We design the target stack end to end — how data enters, where it lives, how it's modeled, and how it reaches people and products.

    • Target architecture across all relevant layers
    • Tooling recommendations that fit your scale and budget
    • Security, access and compliance model
    You receive

An architecture blueprint and a scoped proposal with timeline and cost.

  3. 03

    Build

We deliver in short increments, so you see working software early and can steer as priorities change.

    • Two-week delivery cycles with live demos
    • Infrastructure as code, automated tests and code review
    • Weekly progress updates in plain language
    You receive

Production-ready systems, delivered piece by piece.

  4. 04

    Launch & hand over

We take each component live carefully, then make sure your team can own and operate it with confidence.

    • Staged go-live with rollback plans
    • Documentation and operational runbooks
    • Hands-on training for your team
    You receive

Live systems, full documentation and a team that knows how to use them.

  5. 05

    Run & improve

Data platforms are never finished. We can stay on to keep everything healthy and keep extending what it can do.

    • Monitoring, alerting and incident response
    • Regular reviews of performance, cost and usage
    • An ongoing roadmap of improvements
    You receive

Reliable operations and a platform that keeps getting better.

Ways to work together

Engagements that fit where you are.

Whether you're starting from scratch or improving what you have, there's a sensible way in.

End to end

Full-stack build

We design and deliver the complete stack — website, pipelines, analytics, ML and the cloud foundation — as one program with one roadmap.

Best for: organizations building a modern data capability from the ground up.

Focused

Single-layer project

We take on one well-defined piece — a new website, a data warehouse, a reporting overhaul or an ML use case — designed to fit the rest of your stack.

Best for: teams with a specific gap or a clear first priority.

Ongoing

Managed service

We operate, monitor and continuously improve your platform on a monthly basis — whether we built it or not.

Best for: organizations that want reliable operations without hiring a full in-house team.

Our commitments

What every engagement includes.

Your accounts, your code

Everything is built in your cloud accounts and repositories from day one. You own it outright.

Weekly visibility

A short written update every week: what shipped, what's next, and any decisions we need from you.

Documentation as we go

Architecture notes, data definitions and runbooks are written alongside the work — not rushed at the end.

Security from the start

Least-privilege access, encryption and audit trails are designed in, with your compliance needs in mind.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do we have to hire you for the whole stack?

No. Many clients start with a single layer — often a reporting overhaul or a data warehouse — and expand from there. Because we think about the full stack, whatever we build first is designed to fit with what comes next.

Who owns the code, data and infrastructure?

You do. We work in your cloud accounts and your code repositories from day one, and everything is documented. If you ever decide to move on, there's nothing to untangle.

Which cloud platforms and tools do you work with?

We work across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, and with widely used tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, dbt, Power BI and Looker. If you already have investments in place, we'll build on them rather than replace them for the sake of it.

Can you work alongside our in-house team?

Yes. We regularly embed with internal engineering, data and marketing teams — filling skill gaps, adding capacity, and leaving your people more capable than when we started.

How is pricing structured?

After discovery we provide a scoped proposal. Well-defined projects are usually quoted at a fixed price; ongoing operations and improvement work is typically a monthly retainer. You'll always know the cost before work begins.

What happens after launch?

Your choice. We can stay on to run, monitor and improve the platform under a managed service, or hand it over to your team with documentation, runbooks and training.

Ready for step one?

A 30-minute discovery call is the easiest way to find out whether we're the right fit. No preparation needed.
